After working for over a decade in community health, health education, and holistic fitness with both English and Spanish-speaking communities, the emerging Coaching profession found Lorene when she first connected with Coaching pioneer Linda Bark. Since then, her Coaching path has organically unfolded as she loves supporting individuals to create positive behavior and transformational changes while rooting into their own wisdom.
Lorene is a seasoned professional Coach and medical liaison experienced in working with both individuals and groups, and in developing/implementing a variety of NBHWC approved training programs specializing in niche areas such as yoga coaching and emotional well-being coaching. She has a deep level of integrity and strong commitment to work contributions and offerings that are in alignment with ethics, values, and principles, both personally and professionally as a Coach.
Lorene has worked professionally in Holistic Health Education for more than two decades, and in Well-being Coaching for over 12 years. She has a background working many years as a certified Group Fitness Instructor while also creating a holistic fitness approach based on her OLA community-centric model which integrated physical activity, coaching, and health education to improve both access to fitness opportunities and health behavior outcomes for underserved populations. She holds the professional coaching certifications as a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, ICF-Professional Certified Coach (*ip), member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers, along with a Master’s degree in Holistic Health Education~Somatic Psychology and currently works as a Well-being Coach, Mentor, Trainer, and Consultant with mission-driven organizations, in healthcare settings, and private practice, including a role as Faculty Mentor Coach for MUIH’s graduate degree program.
